About This Web Site

The primary purpose of the Rod Library web site is to support the Library’s mission and strategic plan. In service to this purpose, the goals of the Rod Library web site are:

• To provide efficient online access to the library collection, licensed subscription bibliographic databases, electronic journals and books, library guides and tutorials, selected web sites, and other appropriate information;

• To create a user-centered environment, focused on students as the primary audience, that maximizes self-directed learning and minimizes the need for direct mediation by Library staff members;

• To present current information about Rod Library, its operations, collections, services, personnel, and other resources;

• To reflect and be responsive to the information needs of UNI students, faculty, and staff.
