We have 4 new collaborative tables located in the learning commons behind the reference desk. Each station has a 47-inch tv screen and 5 VGA input connections to connect your PC laptop. We are also getting adapters so devices requiring video connectors other than VGA can utilize these stations as well.
Also new in the learning commons, we have a new electric stapler! You can staple up to 25 pages at a time without pressing a button! If you need to staple more than 25 pages, ask at the reference desk and we'd be happy to assist you.
Stop by the learning commons to see the changes we've made!
Rod Library now has a water bottle filling station next to the women's restroom and near the Browsing Room on the main floor of the library! You can save money and reduce waste while enjoying cold chilled water!
that the librarians have created guides for specific subjects, courses, and basic research tips? These guides are full of information on how to find sources as well as other related information about a specific subject or UNI course. They can be found by clicking on "subject guides" on the left hand side of the library homepage.
They are a very good resource for you to use in your research!
Thanks to your student computer fees, we have a new color copier/printer/scanner on the main floor in the lobby. You can scan items and send them via email or save to a USB device. Stop at the Circulation desk if you need assistance.
Guess what?!?! As part of the learning commons project, we now have 4 new mobile carts floating around the library for you to use!!. Each cart has a 47-inch flat screen monitor and cables that will allow you to connect your laptop and/or electronic devices to the flat screen monitor However, we only have cables for VGA and HDMI compatible devices. Carts have cords so they can be plugged into an electrical outlet. Instructions are on each of the carts.
We want you to use these carts and move them around the library to wherever you and your friends are working on that group project!
If you have any questions or comments, please visit us at the Reference desk on the main (2nd) floor!
In honor of Valentine’s week the Rod would like to set you up on a “Blind Date With A Book” Here’s how it works- Stop by and check out a specially wrapped book from our display. Take it home, unwrap it, read it, and enjoy! If you don’t like the book, simply return it to the library, its feelings won’t be hurt. After reading the book write a couple of lines on our Facebook page (Rod Library @ UNI) and tell us how it went. All entries will be entered into a drawing for a sweet prize. Winners will be chosen Friday February 22nd. Best of Luck!
