Copyright and Faculty Rights

The Rod Library has purchased webcast materials from Academic Impressions about Copyright and Faculty Rights. The programs feature Kevin Smith and Steven McDonald and are designed to teach faculty and staff how to apply copyright laws appropriately in the classroom, research, and scholarship.  The two CD sets cover Session 1: Faculty use of Copyright and Session 2:  Faculty Ownership of Copyright.  They are located in the stacks at KF 2995 S55 2012 v.1 &  v.2.

You asked for it, we made it happen!  Many of you requested access to your "R" drives while working on projects in the library.  Now you can!  All public workstations will require you to authenticate with your CATID and passphrase.  Once you have logged in you will be able to create a profile on the screen and save files to your University "R" drive.

Patron Holds

Effective July 22 you will begin to see a "Request" button when you are in the library catalog.  Use this feature to place a hold on items already checked out, or to request an available item be held for you.  Some materials, such as items from the Youth Collection, may not be requestable.

Requests for available items will be available within 24 hours Monday-Friday.  You will receive an email notice when your item is ready for pickup.

Drive Up Book Drop

We have a new drive up book drop located on the west side of Gilchrist.  Not that we don't love to see your bright shiny faces, but if you are in a rush we can take a rain check.

ILLIAD is Here!

Our new Interlibrary Loan system (ILLIAD) is up and running as of 6-13-13. You will need to authenticate to gain access. Once you are in you will be able to submit, view and track your orders more efficiently.
