Faculty Fine Rates for Maximum Overdue Items

Faculty and Professional and Scientific members of the UNI Community typically do not accrue overdue fees until the maximum overdue level is reached.   Exceptions to this are materials checked out from Periodicals, DVD's/Video, Reserves, Interlibrary Loan material, Information file and non-circulating items checked out on special permission slips. On these materials, fines begin accruing immediately. Additional billing and replacement fees will be charged when these materials reach the maximum level overdue.  Fines not paid at the time of check in will be charged to your University Account.  The Office of Business Operations will send a statement to you in the form of a U-bill.  U-bills are payable through the cashiers office in Gilchrist.   The following table illustrates the maximum level overdue fees for all materials.
