While writing the first draft of a paper, look for and evaluate conflicts between sources of statistical data; does one source say the size of the pharmaceutical market is $x billion while another source says it is $y billion? Perhaps one figure is for the U.S. market while the other is for the North American market? Or one figure is for 2012 while another is for 2009? Also, consider whether the paper would be strengthened by incorporating additional financial, economic, demographic, or other statistical data.
