What is Naxos Music Library?
Naxos Music Library is a streaming media product that is licensed (purchased) by Rod Library for use by UNI students, faculty, and staff. All of the compact discs in the Naxos catalog, including classical, jazz, and world music, are available for streaming.

When, where, and who can use it? 
Our current licensing agreement with Naxos allows up to 10 users (UNI students, faculty, and staff) to be logged-in to the service at any one time. You can access Naxos on a 24 hour per day, 7 day per week basis from any computer anywhere in the world that has an internet connection, a soundcard, and speakers or headphones.

How do I get to Naxos Music Library?

Go to the Rod Library Homepage at: http://www.library.uni.edu/ and then click on the purple tab labeled "Books and  More”. Use the dropdown menu to do a "title" search for Naxos Music Library and hit the search button or hit the enter key on your computer.  If you are off campus, you may be asked to enter a Patron Name and CAT ID. For Patron Name, enter your last name and hit the TAB key on your keyboard. Then enter your CAT ID. Click the Submit button and you should then be connected to the Naxos home page. 

IMPORTANT:

You must access Naxos Music Library through the Rod Library catalog. Do not attempt to type in a web address for Naxos into your web browser or attempt to find a web address for Naxos using a search engine such as Google. The Naxos server will not recognize you as a valid user unless you access the service through the Rod Library server.

VERY IMPORTANT
Please remember that our license agreement with Naxos allows no more than 10 users to be logged on at the same time. There may be times in which you will not be able to complete a log-in to the service because there are already 10 people logged in. This situation is most likely to occur on the days and evenings immediately preceding listening exams in music history, music literature courses, and/or sections of Our Musical Heritage. Peak listening times are likely to be between 8:00 PM and midnight.
