This is a 1473 page carbon copy of a typescript, comprising four intellectual volumes, but bound into three physical volumes. The title page for volume two states that the work is "Taken Partly from the French by a Cistercian Monk of Melleray Abbey La Trappe." The devotions are arranged in chronological order according the the church year. The date "1826 A. D." appears in several places.

Adjunct instructor Harvey Hess gave the first two volumes of this typescript to the Rod Library Special Collections in about 2000. He gave the third volume to the Rod Library Special Collections in November 2008.
