Find and Request Articles

Rod Library provides extra document delivery services to distance learners. Library staff can locate, photocopy, scan and e-mail in-house articles to distance learners. Students can also request articles to be faxed to them. There are photocopy and FAX charges. If the Rod Library does not own an article, staff will attempt to interlibrary loan the article from another library. In some cases, there is a charge to acquire the article and these charges are passed to the student. Library staff will inform distance learners if there are charges associated with obtaining articles through interlibrary loan.

• Panther Prowler (This feature allows you to search several databases at one time for information on a topic (Panther Prowler User Guide.) If the article is not available in full text from the library database, click on the Find It! button to possibly find the full text in another licensed library resource. • Interlibrary Loan Information for UNI Distance Learners (Distance learners need to request all interlibrary loan articles through the library's distance education services so that articles are guaranteed to be sent to the student.
