Rod Library Desk Newspapers
Current issues of some newspapers are kept at the Reserve Desk in the MultiService Center for added protection of the item. For example, current issues of the Des Moines Register, and Waterloo Courier are kept at the MultiService Center. Circulation policies for newspapers are as follows:
- A maximum of five items (desk periodicals, desk newspapers, or any combination of the two) can be checked out at a time by one person. A user does not have to be a UNI student to check out items, but a UNI identification card or a driver's license must be presented at the time of check out. All desk periodicals/newspapers have the same two hour lending period with building use only. All items checked out from this desk must be returned to this desk. Consult the Loan Times and Fines page for specifics.
- MultiService Center staff provide assistance in locating particular newspaper issues and the interpretation of periodical UNISTAR records.
- Backfiles of some of the newspapers are available on microfilm. The MultiService Center staff can provide assistance with these items.
- For more complete information about the newspaper collection go to the Rod Library Newspapers and Other News Sources page .
