What do Chris Crutcher, Toni Morrison, John Steinbeck, Judy Blume, Philip Pulman, Mark Twain, J. K. Rowling, and J.D. Salinger have in common?

They all have the distinction of appearing on the list of "Most frequently challenged authors of the 21st century". The American Library Association and other organizations designate a week every year to celebrate the freedom to read.  Celebrate Banned Book week from September 25-October 2, 2010. Read more about the week at http://www.ala.org/ala/issuesadvocacy/banned/bannedbooksweek/index.cfm [1] and read a banned or challenged book this week!
