DATE: November 20, 1996

Paul W. Anderson, 51, of 922 Central Avenue, Evansdale, died Saturday, November 16, 1996, at Covenant Medical Center of complications of cancer.

Paul began his career at UNI in 1973 as a Power Plant Boiler Operator. He became Assistant Chief Operator in 1979.

He was born January 14, 1945, in Boone, son of Martin L. and Verna M. Nelson Anderson. He married Fonda Hagaman on June 4, 1967, in Boone.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Mark of Monterey, California; a daughter, Marcia of Waterloo; three brothers, David of Burt, Robert of San Antonio, Texas, and Eldon of Stratford; and a sister, Glencyne of Fort Dodge. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Mary Louise.

Memorial services were held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Evansdale, and 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Stratford Lutheran Church, Stratford, with interment at Mineral Ridge Cemetery, Boone.
