The Reference desk is located on the main floor of the library near the Reference collection and most of the public computers on that floor. The desk is staffed by student assistants all hours that the library is open. Reference librarians and staff are available at the desk the following hours during fall and spring semesters:

• Monday - Thursday 8:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.
• Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
• Sunday 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.

Reference librarians and staff are available at the desk the following hours during summer sessions:

• Monday - Thursday  8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
• Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:50 p.m.

Student assistants are available at the Information Point attached to the reference desk during all hours the library is open.  They can help with basic UNISTAR and database searches, and can give other basic information about the library and university.

During interims [1], reference librarians and staff are scheduled to work at the desk for a shorter range of hours Monday through Friday.  Hours will vary depending upon which interim is being covered, but a librarian or senior staff member will be on call for research help during hours when they are not scheduled to sit at the desk.
