Responsibilities:

• Answers questions at the Reference Desk
• Hires, trains, supervises, schedules, and evaluates department’s student assistants
• Manages the day-to-day operation of the Reference & Instructional Services office
• Verifies citations and processes distance education document delivery request forms
• Assists librarians with various projects and assignments
• Schedules tours for school groups
• Oversees the Des Moines Register project that is being transferred from cards to database
• Supervises the physical maintenance of the department’s collections
