He was born August 30, 1934, in Fort Worth, Texas.
A veteran of a U .S. Army MASH unit in Korea, Dr. Maberry served from 1957 to 1959 and later returned to South Korea twice to teach at a school for children of U. S. military members and as a USO Service Club director. He later became a professor in the Department of Communnication Studies at the University of Northern Iowa until 1981. He then accepted a position at the American College, Athens, Greece, and later taught at Tarleton State, Stephenville, in Guam, and in Charlotte. North Carolina
Survived by: a nephew and a niece.
Memorial services: were Wednesday at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Stephenville, with inurnment in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Forth Worth. Lacy Funeral Home, Stephenville, was in charge of arrangements.
