Special Collections and University Archives maintains a display case just north of the Dichotomy sculpture on the third level of the Rod Library. The display case features photographs, books, memorabilia, records, and artifacts primarily from the various manuscript, archival, and book collections in Special Collections. New displays are mounted every four to six weeks.
This portion of the Special Collections Web page provides links to Web versions of non-current Special Collections displays. Web versions will generally be close approximations of actual displays. In certain cases, though, items from actual displays may not appear in Web versions because they do not scan well or are under copyright.
Web versions of Special Collections displays are intended to be an entertaining and enlightening service to those who are interested in UNI history in particular and Special Collections material in general. However, actual displays are worth a personal visit. Despite enhancements such as hypertext links, Web versions remain two dimensional representations of three dimensional displays arrayed in exhibit cases.
Fuller information on all subjects treated in these displays is located in Rod Library Special Collections.
