Art and Music Collection

Staff in the Art and Music Collection are responsible for providing reference service in the areas of art, design and music; providing library instruction for library users; developing, maintaining and evaluating the art and music collection; circulating materials housed in the Art and Music Collection (e.g. LPs, CDs, cassettes, videos, scores, slides and prints); providing an environment for listening to and viewing materials, and maintaining course reserves for art and music classes. Typical student responsibilities within the Art and Music Collection include providing directional information to library users about collections, facilities and equipment, circulating Art and Music materials, providing basic reference assistance in art, design and music, performing basic bibliographic searches in UNISTAR for collection development purposes, and shelf-reading.
