December 2006 Student of the Month
Our Student of the Month for December is Laurie, who works in Technical Services/Acquisitions.
Laurie is a senior from West Bend who will graduate in December with a degree in Finance. After graduation she hopes to remain in the area, and is in the process of interviewing. In whatever spare time she can manage between work, classes, and studying, Laurie likes to hang out with friends and watch movies.
Laurie has worked in the library for about a year and a half. The person who nominated her for Student of the Month writes, “She has the ability to work in stressful situations (large volumes of orders). Turns out phenomenal amounts of mistake-free work in a short time. She grasps new procedures quickly, then can work independently. Laurie has a strong willingness to work and learn, as evidenced by her volunteering for several focus groups in the library ... For a section that deals primarily with money issues, Laurie is a perfect student employee.”
Congratulations, Laurie, and thank you for a job well done. Good luck after graduation!
