January 2011 Student of the Month
Callie, from Technical Services, is the January 2011 student of the month. She is a senior majoring in Public Relations and minoring in Marketing. She hopes to find a job in the Midwest after she graduates this spring. She is hoping to get into public relations within the realm of healthcare; however, with whatever she decides, her future employers will be lucky to have her.
She has worked in the Technical Services Department for 3 years. She started working in the library after her sister, Courtney, worked in Technical Services here at the Rod and thought it would be a good fit for her. She processes anything given to her, works on any projects asked of her, and assists the ordering team by checking orders and alerting them of any possible errors. She takes on all tasks with a smile on her face and completes them in a timely fashion. She has a very positive attitude and is friendly and helpful to all around her. Her nominator comments that “Callie is a constant in a world of changes. She is completely dependable and capable of any project, but [her nominator] feels she is an unsung hero for us as she is our constant performer at the processing table and computer, accomplishing those tasks we need completed each day.”
Callie comes to us from Waukon, Iowa. In her free time, she likes to shop, hang out with friends, and read. We are lucky to have had her working for us for 3 years and will be sad to see her go as she graduates and moves on to bigger and greater things.
Congratulations to Callie, a very deserving recipient of the student of the month award!
