October 2009 Student of the Month
Kim, our October Student of the Month, is starting her second year in Special Collections/Archives. Her nominator stated that Kim NEVER has a bad day; coming to work with a smile on her face and a bounce in her step. She started like all student assistants, with basic data entry, but quickly showed the ability and desire to tackle more difficult assignments. She approaches each new task with enthusiasm and a positive attitude. Kim truly has a "can do" spirit. Kim can be trusted to complete complicated assignments in a professional manner.
Kim calls Dyersville, Iowa home. She graduated from Maquoketa Valley High School in Delhi, Iowa. She is a sophomore majoring in accounting and is flexible as to the location of her first job. Thankfully for Special Collections/Archives, that is a couple of years away.
Kim enjoys watching and participating in sports, watching movies, visiting and hanging out with friends. She is a member of the Accounting Club.
Daniel and Linda are Kim's proud parents. She has three sisters; Jennifer, Kristi and Melissa.
CONGRATULATIONS to a very deserving young lady.
