October 2013 Student of the Month

The Student Employment Advisory Committee is so very pleased to announce that Nick from the Special Collections and University Archives Department is our October Student Assistant of the Month.

Nick is a senior anthropology major from Evansdale. He has worked all four years of his Rod Library career in Special Collections. Nick’s responsibilities include sorting and arrange documents into chronological and alphabetical order and assists at a higher level with the processing of archive and photograph collections. He also assists patrons when the librarian and assistant are unavailable.

Nick’s nominator states that he is consistently dependable and conscientious. He has a well-deserved reputation for accuracy and completeness, which allows the freedom to give him the more difficult tasks. They comment that they will miss Nick’s unobtrusive and dedicated presence when he graduates.

Nick’s main hobby at this time is reading. His plans after graduation are to work for awhile and then move to Des Moines and enroll in a mortuary science program.

Thanks Nick for being such a dedicated student assistant and for all of your terrific work.
