September 2011 Student of the Month
Congratulations to Justin, our September Student of the Month!
Justin has been employed in the Reference and Instructional Services department for 3 ½ years as a Multimedia Production Assistant. When Justin applied for a job at the Library, his previous theater experience caught the eye of our newly formed video production crew. Since being hired, Justin has been involved with the creation and production of around 40 instructional videos that illustrate library policies and help patrons better utilize library services. The videos, which Justin has helped write, edit, record, and narrate, can be viewed on the Library’s playlist at http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=CB5486DB67E645F1
Justin’s nominator highlighted his creativity, cooperation in working with staff and students, and his dependability, flexibility and judgment. The nominator went on to say, “No one [who] works in the library can take so much credit for promoting the Library’s public image…”
Justin is from Maquoketa, Iowa. His is senior Anthropology major with an emphasis in Archaeology. After graduating next spring, he hopes to find work doing 3-dimensional mapping of prehistoric sites, preferably in the Southwest.
Thank you Justin for all you do for the Library!
