September 2007 Student of the Month
Liz is the Rod Library’s Student of the Month for September 2007.
Liz hails from Epworth, Iowa, and is an Early Childhood Education major. Liz came to UNI after having earned a B.A. in Spanish from the University of Iowa. ¡Vaya las Panteras! While attending the U of I, Liz worked in the Physics Library, though she confesses that the relationship between quantum fluctuations and Heisenberg’s uncertainty principle still throws her for a loop. This previous library experience, along with a recommendation from a former student assistant, led Liz to seek employment at the Rod Library.
Since starting, Liz has worked in several areas including Technical Services / Cataloging, Technical Services / Serials, Access Services and the Art & Music area. In fact, she received two nominations for Student of the Month by supervisors in two separate areas. In her free time, Liz likes to listen to music, go to movies and visit with friends. After graduating from UNI, Liz plans to teach kindergarten or 1st grade, initially in the Midwest. Having spent a summer as a nanny in New Jersey, Liz says she may eventually maker her way back to the East Coast. Wherever you end up, Liz, we know you’ll do a great job.
Congratulations to Liz for being chosen September Student of the Month!
